We are looking for a seamstress or tailor who can use their sewing skills to solve a variety of garment construction, fit and repair challenges.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations, adjustments and repairs

• Assess each garment and determine the best solution

• Develop creative solutions to construction and fitting challenges

• Complete hems and repair or replace zippers, buttons and fasteners

• Ensure clean, precise and high-quality workmanship

 

Qualifications

• Experience in sewing, alterations or garment construction

• Ability to operate sewing machines: industrial, plain, overlock, coverstitch and  zig-zag

• Strong observation and problem-solving skills

• Creative, independent and detail-oriented

 

Schedule: Full time (minimum 30 hours per week)
Work location: Montreal (close to Square Victoria metro station)
